Allison Foundation History

George Nairn, JrThe Allison Foundation was started by George E. Nairn, Jr., in 2006 and is incorporated in the state of Maryland as a nonprofit organization.  After meeting and getting to know a young autistic child named Allison, he was inspired to do something to help Allison's family to afford her many therapy needs. George decided to combine his desire to help with his love for golf... and the first annual Allison Foundation Golf Tournament was born. Since then, many other Allison Foundation events have raised funds for respite care, therapy, and scholarships and grants to Melwood's Camp Accomplish.

George continues to be overwhelmed by the response received in support of the Allison Foundation. The generosity of family, friends, and the community has poured in.

Since 2009, the Allison Foundation has worked with Camp Accomplish to set up a permanent scholarship fund, administered by the camp, for autistic camp participants from Charles County. We continue to fund care needs for Allison and other autistic children.

Also in 2009, the Nairn family lost a very dear friend and Allison's mother, Holli White, to a sudden illness. We resolved to continue Allison Foundation in her memory and pledged to continue the mission with as much passion as she had for helping her daughter and other Autistic children.

George is the president of Nairn Technologies, Inc., a software development company. He lives in Port Tobacco with his wife, Gina, and their two children.
